On the TD5 Defender there are two pins with rubber that you wind out to keep the bonnet under pressure when closed.
the bloody bonnet wont stop flapping around aver about 80ks, what have people done to fix it besided bonnet pins or straps ala jeep style.

constructed a simple pair rubber of rubber feet to stop this on my rangie. I used HT bolts and rubber end caps from clark ruber. Same principle as the defender.....![]()

John from York(WA) had the perfect fix,on one of the trips he joined us on he had a ratchet strap across the bonnet!!!!!

The flapping is usually caused by the rubber feet perishing & falling off.
Stick some new rubber on, re-adjust the legs & you should be fine.![]()
