    Td5 EGR removal?

    G'day mates!
Now I need your valued advice again. Is it worth removing, alternatively blanking off, the EGR valve on a Td5 or will the ECU play up afterwards?
The background is, I simply don't like the fact that my engine has to breathe the used stuff that rather should leave through the exhaust. And even less, after having seen pictures of gooey clogged hoses and icky turbochargers... On my Tdi I have done this job years ago, without any negative side effects. It even showed, and continues to show, improved results on our compulsary annual emission check. This basically means it can't be this bad environmentally either.

Well, how does the Td5 engine cope with the removal of all this crap under the bonnet? Any hints how to do it properly?
    Thanks!
    Johannes

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
