    Series 3 alternator upgrade.

Gooday folks, just wondering if anyone has upped the amperage of the standard alternator, (on a series 3 standard 4 cyl motor), I think it's 35 amps, to a larger capacity? Is it possible to enhance the stator or rebuild some other aspect of it, to accomodate running extras, such lights, radios, fridge etc? Also, a tip for soldering the lugs of an Anderson plug, place the lug gently in a vice, and heat up with the best nineteen dollars you'll ever spend, a heat gun from Dick Smiths, this helps the solder flow easily. Prior to this though, slide on some appropriate size heat shrink tube, to make your job look top notch! Cheers, Ben.
