    What products did the job for you???

    I have tried the Diesel Power but was quite unimpressed.

    used a couple but don't know if they did anything... on another note though... BP is currently promoting a point of using a cleaner diesel soon which will supposedly be 80% cleaner then the competitors.

    I picked up a brochure yesterday but haven't read it yet.

    FOX 2008 RRS - Artemis 1989 Perentie FFR - Phoenix S2a 88" with more - Beetlejuice 1956 S1 86" - GCLRO #001 - REMLR #176
    EVL '96 Defender 110 - Emerald '63 2a Ambulance 112-221 - Christine '93 Rangy - Van '98 Rangy - Rachael '76 S3 GS - Special '70 S2a GS - Miss B '86 Rangy -
    RAAF Tactical 200184 & 200168

    Was that the Ultra Low sulphur diesel........?

    ...at between 5-10 parts per million of sulphur.................was looking at something similar recently, CETANE ratings, aromatics etc, were all SUPPOSED to be no lower, so no performance loss, just said to be cleaner.

    Have used two products myself though,
    (1) Wynns EDT, GAVE MARGINALLY SMOOTHER RUNNING and acceleration
    (2) Moreys........no real performance difference, but seems to clean very well, as there was ZERO gunk in the sedimenter last time around,
    Going to try the CEM stuff next week, so will keep you posted,

    Do a search (up the top) "fuel additives" and read through old threads on the subject. You won't get a definitive answer but what you will get is a good overall range of different opinions and perspectives.

    search results for fuel additives;

    one I recently revived with regards to CEM;

    If your looking for a "wonder drug", I don't believe there is one. Your far better to think about "what you think the problem is and what you want to achieve" (as in, it's gutless, it blows smoke all the time) and then read about what's on offer.

    For me, I'm not looking for better performance or economy, I simply want to clean out the fuel and oil system (as I have just bought my Disco) so from my own point of view I start my regular maintenance on the right foot so to speak.

    In the thread above on CEM, incisor does bring up a valid point with regards to ongoing dosing for a TDi that doesn't get much work.

    By the time you have read all that plus goggling for even more info, your choices will be as clear as mud.

    Best regards
