there`s 3 temp sensors/senders , coolant .
1 screws into the thermostat housing
1 screws horizonally into the inlet manifold on the drivers side front .
1 screws vertically into the inlet manifold on pass side at front beside the thermostat housing sorta .
The first 1 is a switch , it will operate the AC fans if the engine overheats .
The second is the 1 that tells the gauge where the needle should be .
The third is the 1 that talks to the ECU and this is the 1 to use your OHM gauge on , if it is open circuit like the other you`ve found a problem .
The first 1 will be open circuit because it only makes the circuit when the temp is higher than it should be .
If your not convinced remove the wire ( from the 1 , i`ve call the first 1 ) that is not the earth and earth it . The AC fans should turn . There should be no need to have ignition on , they switch earth and have power always .
