Make your own thin spanner out of sum 3mm stainless plate easy as if you can cut neat with a grinder ....

Geez, I am surprised at you guys.
The noise when the leveller is shagged is the ball joints at the top and bottom.
They are loose from new and depend on the pressure from the leveller to keep them under tension and quiet.
When empty my Range Rover clunks as with a 2inch lift the leveller is not preloaded.
I suggest that you get a reco leveller and replace the ball joints. They cost only about $20 each. Last ones I bought Graeme Cooper whacked in the lathe and tightened them up. they are just a ball joint cup with a nylon spacer on top, held in by a collar.

Well in the end I resorted to a hacksaw.

It's off now.....and the clunk is gone.

    Thanks everyone for your replies.
    Cheers
