    HELP!!D2 fuel regulator

I had a reply from LandyAndy the other night about changing the fuel regulator. Well i got a new one and was about to fit it but it seems it may be the wrong one, as it came with the hose looped around and connected to the other outlet/inlet on the regulator and the body of the regulator is very slightly different although the bolt holes look the same.anyone out there with any info? It looks as though the hose would fit the other way but i cant get the hose off. HELP!!!

I believe there are 2 models of the Sender unit. The one L/R part no WFX000280 is I think the one you need, but both models are for Td5

    The 2 parts are:

    WQC000220 and WFX000280 for VIN after 3A71052

3A is a 2003 build so you probably need the WQC000220 part.

That said, check out the April issue of Land Rover Enthusiast as they have an article on fitting the unit to a 1999 Disco and quote the later part number. It's possible that it will fit the earlier vehicle.

    Hi dm td5.
    Thanks for all your help.
My VIN is SALLTGM931A721248 and the part I have is a genuine Land Rover part, made in the UK with part number MSO 000080

OK I had the wrong thing in mind. The part you're talking about is the fuel block connector MSO000080 with VIN up to 1A736339.

There is a variant of this part MSO000100 for later vehicles.

So as I read the EPC you've got the right part for your Disco.

I did find another reference to 3 variations of the fuel block connector MSO000060, MSO000080 and MSO100010.

    I'm confused now!

Wait for tombraider to reply, he knows a lot more.

Your confused? Gee i dont know what i am then? but i thank you very much for trying. As i said it looks as though it would fit but the pipe loops around onto the other connection. At first i thought it might be for packing purpose but i can see how it would unclip from its connection without damage unless there's a special tool to do it. i'll see what tombraider comes up with. Again thanks dm td5....regards charlito

Confused!!!! i'll see what tombraider comes up with. Again thanks dm td5....regards charlito
