Thread: Viscous fan coupling for 300tdi.

Would any kind soul have a idea on cost off these units?


Mines still works ok but big wobble in pulley, and a bit of movement in bearing, Have been told they are expensive , hope thats not right,the drought has spread to my bank a/c ,

It may be the bearing that the viscous coupling turns about.

Most places can only sell you a new timing cover with the bearing fitted.

If you search this forum, you should find at least 2 threads with information on suppliers of replacement bearings. One in last 2 or 3 months the other probably 12 months or so.

I believe British 4wd can supply the bearing, although it is not listed on their web site.
