    Post Servicing & Parts Cost

Hey up everyone, just wondering if anyone (and i'm sure you do) has an idea of servicing prices for a 96 V8 Disco, i also need a new air box, any idea how much these cost? as this is my first service so a bit unsure how much it's going to cost, also can anyone reccomended someone in the Brisbane area?

    Cheers guys,

    Andy.

Try these guys in http://www.britishoffroad.com/, in Forest Glen, they should be able to hlep with a secondhand airbox.
As for the sevicing what do you mean.
Just the oil changes, like diffs, trans, enginer oil and filter, transfer case?
These are really easy to do by the home mechanic and will save you $100s.
As for tuning Sparkplugs, leads, airfilters etc that's also another service.

    I reccomend me...

I dont have the air box, but if you want to come over I'll show you the ropes of routine servicing while we do it, let you get your hands dirty and fit your air box if you manage to procure one.

the whole 9 yards doing all the oils, all the brakes, all the filters all the plugs and leads should run you somewhere under $400 for parts and lubes assuming you go near top shelf items all the way and expect to pay say 5 hours of labour. This number will rise if during the service things like wheel bearings need adjustments/replacing. (thats a guideline for what to expect a mechanic to charge not what Im quoting)

    Best of luck..
