Disco IIa AirCon head unit switch lights

G'day guys. Recently i noticed all the switches on the AC control unit except for the drivers side temperature control (you know, the large one with the red on top and the blue on the bottom) no longer illuminate when the lights are switched on. Does anyone know how to fix this and if it is an easy enough job? Or do I need to get the experts in? I am hoping it is amatter of pulling out the head unit and dissasembling the front to get atthe bulbs?
Any pointers or recommendations of where I should take this in Sydney to get it done for the right price woud be great.

Come on guys, someone must have had this problem before also. It is doing my head in at night time as I have finally managed to fix every other nigling little problem with the beast and this is the only one left.

I would assume the bulb behind or in the the unit is blown, if the other dash lights are working it won't be a fuse.

Never had this problem so that's my best guess.

    Hi ******,
Dont want to be the bearer of bad news but the globes are LED's in fact & are soldered to a board. In order to get to these globes u will need to dismantle the Hevac unit & unsolder & then get the new items & re-solder. It is a real P.I.T.A to do.

yeh it is definately a bulb or bulbs but I am not sure if they are LED based and on a PCB or traditional filament jobbies etc. I am hoping it is a common problem so that the fix is well know.
Thanks for responding, I was starting to think I smelt..........
