Hey everyone i asked before about the rubber Coating on the Fenders Chassis. is it also on the inside of the Pannels ?? and was wandering does it matter if it peeles its on the Back pannel near the Fuel Filler on the Inside and same on the other side and it looks to be the same Rubber coating as on the chassis but its kindda peeling off. Does this matter ?? should i do anything ??
Regards Adrian
If it is peeling it means water can get through the cracks and behind the coating and as such aiding corrosion. Peel off as much of the loose stuff as possible and apply new material, as accurately as possible, making sure to leave no fissures as point of possible water entry.
Cheers
Johannes
There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.
but because the pannels are aluminium shouldnt they not corrode ??
they dont rust, but they can go to white powder in the right conditions.
