    one shot grease leaking

i didn't think this stuff was spose to leak, it leaking past the wiper seal

when i busted a cv last year i converted the drivers side to one shot as it started to leak oil after i fitted the replacement cv. i have checked the swivel pins, they are good, i did not replace the wiper/swivel seal when i reassembled, it looked good at the time but maybe they don't like being disturbed

is there anything else i can look at, is it possible for pressure to build up and force the grease out

Try 100% Moreys Heavy Duty Oil Stabiliser very resistant to leaking and I have heard reports in the UK of 500000km out of the Cvs

and usually when the swivels over pressurise they blow back into the diff. When I first bought the 'fender I drained an extra litre out of the front diff and it was a nice grey moly colour.
The blokes servicing it filled the swivels right up with EP90, even though a '98 has no drain plugs and comes from the factory with 'One Shot'. All the service guides say "Swivel Housing, 300ml of EP 90" so that's what they often get and it ends up in the diff.

One Shot is just an NLGI #00 lithium soap base grease with 3% moly, so you could try squirting some NLGI #2 lithium complex moly grease, eg common old Castrol LMM in to thicken it up a touch.
And while most Land Rover enthusiasts will claim the sky will fall in if you use anything other than oil in the swivels, remember Land Rover are the only company in the world that uses oil or a semi fluid grease in CV's, everyone else uses an NLGI #2 grease.
I do think oil is better, but using grease isn't the end of the world, either.

Generally if the semi fluid grease is leaking out, there must be some serious seal damage or misallignment. Providing there is no deep scoring. At least it is only leaking, you oil would be gone.
