Fuel filter change......now it's fluffy!
Gday lads,
After a recent maiden voyage in the green 110 (3.5 V8) I noticed it was loosing power on long climbs, seemed to be fuel starvation. It ran fine in all other situations, it just lost power (slightly, on and off) on long hill climbs.
I immediately thought of the fuel filter.
So I changed it. It was caked in gunge etc. Now it no longer losses power on hill climbs, and it accelerates better than it did before which is great....
BUT......when it idles there is now a fair bit of vibration in the car and if you stand at the end of the exhaust it sounds fluffy!
The timing was set up with the old filter in place a few weeks back. Is it possible that it needs to be reset now that the fuel is flowing freely??
Is it a mixture issue??
Any help appreciated.
Cheers
