IMHO,
Dont go trying to build a kit electronic module yourself...
all altronics and jaycar kits come with a standard warrenty disclaimer
"we can only warrenty this kit for parts condition prior to assembly work commencing. Poor handling techniques can damage some components that will not be found untill testing the kit.
Fault finding an assembled kit can be a time consuming event which can make having a serviceman conduct repairs effectively double or even triple the cost of the kit..."
That aint verbatim but its close enough to make the point.
all it takes is one dry joint to make an intermittant fault and your going to drive yourself insane trying to fix it

(Can you tell im impressed). Anyway the previous owner that installed the EFI, for some unknown reason put the computer under the drivers seat so when the interior filled up with water so did the computer. Now, the computer is dead that much has been determined. The question is. Do I go for the $1200 odd dollar microtech or do I get a megasquirt and build it myself? It only has to do fuel, no ignition and it has to be simple to install (Wire up). I can solder and believe I can build the megasquirt. The Microtech needs RPM, a MAP sensor and water temp. Does anyone know what sensors/inputs a megasquirt requires? Any help would be appreciated. Im going to be rewiring pretty much the entire car anyway as I am sick of what the previous owner has left me with (Its been an ongoing problem since I bought it). Sorry for waffling on, thanks in advance
