I have had the computer tell me there is all sorts of random brake faults going on with my bus. Too random,, and changed each time we connected to computer

    SO

I was wondering if the wires from the CDL that inform the ECU to disable the TC,, giving the three Amigo's, Could short out in some fashion and cause the three amigo's all the time. My model does not have the CDL at all, But the wires are still tucked up there. Last time I got the car back from the dealers I found all the wires just dangling and had to try and secure them back in place.

It was on this return trip from Cairns to Weipa that my three amigo's first appeared and now months later they have gone from being intermittant to just on all the time. I seem to have some limited ABS, can feel and hear the pulse, but the front wheels still lock up. I have no TC at all.

Any thoughts... I will have to look more closely at this aspect me thinks

Your sounds more like a sensor fault or brake squeal than anything to do with the CDL.

My understanding about the CDL in the early DIIs is that when installing the factory CDL actuator from the later models, is that if you want it to be the same as the DIIa, then interupting the wire that stops the ABS/TC from being disabled when you turn your ignition off with the CDL engaged is the last step in the installation.

If you don't then it will be like having an aftermarket actuator installed, i personally like the ABS/TC on all the time, so when mine comes (if it ever does) i will finish mine this way.

If all 3 lights come on then it's a fault, the ABS/TC disabling when you turn the engine off when the CDL is engaged doesn't disable the Hill Decent as far as i know.
