you can get the same Pin thru ARB .
I've lost the pin that locks my Kaymar wheel carrier in the open position. I once saw someone with a sliding door lock that slid into the slot, but cannot remember where.
Has anybody tried making something similar and do the new Kaymars have the same pin or a new set up?

I've ot a Kaymar rear bar on D1 (app 2 yrs old ) , The pin that holds the swing away tyre carrier is attached to rear bar using a steel cable . I assume this was same set up on yours , How old is your kaymar rear bar ? I assume they are both the same set up for Pins?
Disco owner,
It sounds the same, my Kaymar is about six years old and it was a stainless pin on a cable. The cable got caught between two moving parts and was cut like scissors.
I made a temporary replacement from a 6mm bolt, held on with ss lockwire but it did the same thing two days ago.
Jeff
Kaymar will see you one for around $8, from memory.

I bought a kaymar bar for my D1 disco about 10 years ago, didn't come with pins. I made them with bolts, just cut off the threaded part and drilled a small hole for the fishing line that stops them getting lost. Never lost one yet.
I/ve been using a cut down 1/4" bolt for some years.
