Ha ha....yeah, equiv of $2.30 a litre...not funny...and my mates here wonder why I can still smile when I fill up the D3 with premium for under $100 a tank! If you were used to paying £90 for a tank of diesel once a week, you'd smile too.

That said, LR prices are just as extortionate there, and often for the same stuff that you'd get from the independant suppliers too...same story everywhere.

This is in complete contrast to what I have been told by several specialist land rover mechanics (note not main dealers)

I also had a very long discussion with the technical support office from Claltex, who make the specified OAT red coolant.

LR who has specified this OAT coolant surely would have a good reason for doing so,

It was my understanding that the organic acid technology was the most suitable type for alloy or allo mix engines/components to reduce internal corrosion

I used a similar type on my old RR in the UK and I have used it in both my Discos that I have had here in Australia,,,,,,,,and my systems always remain clean........however I always drain, flush and refil at the beginning of winter and at the begining of Summer. Never had a problem

Agree... Someones ****ing in your ear on that one...

    Red OAT is fine...

BTW - Tank Recores on LR radiators tend to be short lived... I'd never trust my vehicle to one...

This is from several people who repair radiators and a few customers who had problems.

Thanks Dirty Dawg i've used your link and asked for a price. I also went to Brit Parts today pick up a brake light switch and asked them about the rad and they said they only do recores as well. This is the third time mine has been repaired.

    Thanks gents
I am not physically able to replace the radiator myself, so I have decided to take the genuine $900 supply & fit option. I have now found weeping out the side of the water pump but this will have to wait.

I do not know of your physical disability limitations but if you can change a tyre, you can change a Radiator...If you are unable then I'm sorry for you as your gonna be ripped by every baztards Labour charge.
The weeping from the pump would best be looked at the same time They have the rad out as it will free up room for removal..or inspection of the pump

Give Rovacraft a call too - they had a decent price when I was looking a few weeks back.
