Thread: Intermittent horn 02 TD5

Good day all ,thanks 4 the advice on the injecter loom . Just remembered that I have a problem with the horn on the car . Sometimes it doesn't work .I get the feeling it maybe the contacts or whatever takes the power from the steering wheel .Have done the usual tap tests to the relay but the dammed thing never stays not working for long enough to trouble shoot the problem .Any help appreciated .
Also just had to have the front disc rotors changed at only 130,000 kls .A vibration started very quickly indeed .Checked them visually - heaps of pad left and no marks on the discs .Had to go away so my wife took it into our usual service guy .The new disks fixed the problem and were not that expensive but I must be getting old as I think they should last longer.

I find it helps with a routine burst of WD40 up each trumpet using the can tube (if you get me drift) as the vibrator wottsits can stick through lack of use & let's face it, we don't drive around blowing one's horn like the Italians & French. Do we?

Thumping with a 3" x 2" helps to get them moving again with someone leaning on the horn.


If you have a Cruise Control Rotary Coupler, then it could be this on the way out as well.
