I run HPR 15 semi synthetic in my 95 Disco v8, and have done for last 5 years.

now at 280,000, needs no top-up inbetween 5 kay services.

Ambient temps may be your problem,,

try the Aussie penrite link here http://www.penritedata.com/au/db/veh...d2_s.php?cid=9
select your vehicle and it'll give recommended oils
The UK one is definitely lacking in anything after 1970.

I was using HPR50 in my rangie as it had high k's, made it run a lot smoother though it may be a bit thick for the cold climate of the UK.

Being a Colder climate where you are you can afford to run a lighter weight say HPR 10w 50 over here though Iwould say a HPR 15w 60

running a lighter weight oil, would i not risk it leaking out of every little gap?
