Just think how good you would look in a defender Ron. Its giving you a hint that it wants to be traded in.

Maybe I shouldn't sold the County last year?

Nah, I enjoyed driving it but it was too uncomfortable in the sense that the aircon didn't cool in summer and the heater didn't heat in winter.

    A basic 300Tdi Disco next - maybe.

    You're not wrong.

Well, BMI, KarCraft, nor Land Rover have the parts in stock. They've been ordered and will be here in about two weeks.

Sorry to hear of this one, Ron.

Given your run of extraordinary abilities to find faults with everything, would a diesel Disco be a good idea?, re the infamous loctite issue?

While I'm very familiar with waveform monitors, I have no idea what a flexplate is, what is it?

    Cheers, GQ

It's not safe for me to buy anything.

I recently bought a 2.4GHz Tx/Rx to transmit cable TV from the lounge room to the bedroom. It's been having intermittent problems with interference.

I've been putting it down to someone welding. I found late last night it's the Rx in the bedroom that's dicky. Gaaahhhh!

Re the flex plate, it's a flat bit of steel about 2mm thick which is bolted to the flywheel. The torque converter bolts to the plate.

This is my last plate (the one on the left is the one I had replaced. The gold one is the new one!

Just been advised by Trivetts that LR UK don't have any drive plates in stock. Trivetts did a search of all Aust dealers and none here either.

LR UK are waiting some to be made. Expected here in 2nd week of August.

I guess I'll be walking for a bit longer.

Oh, both the previous flex plates had been installed as per the TSB, i.e., 60Nm torque on the bolts.

The first one failed with cracking around the centre. This one appears to have failed at the outer bolt holes.
