    110/Defender metal radiator grilles

My plastic grille is brittle, cracked and starting to drop bits. Has anyone had any experience with any of the metal radiator grilles?

I'm wondering if there's any airflow issues in our warmer climate.

Can't really see the first two properly, but the last one certainly has enough 'free area' to allow sufficient air through.

Serious answer why not go get a BBQ grill for it, that way it will be duel purpose like the original grills.

    Thanks for the replies.

An eBay search for a replacement grille came up with the third one.

Searching the web for other grilles turned up the first two, both appearing on British army Defenders.

The first one is seen on WMIKs

I might look into fashioning something barbequeable.

mines made up with 1" square weldmesh.
It's in two pieces, hinged at the bottom so that it can sandwich air conditioning filter media in it

I can't claim credit for it, although I have modified it for better condenser fan clearance.

I'll see if I can get a photo today.

    Mighty Monotreme,

I replaced my broken County one with one off a Defender - the extension forward has the same opening in it as a Defender, and as a Stage 1 for that matter.

........ and removable front seat bases to put on top of two jerry cans for a seat ..... and then drop the rear tail gate for a table. Landys used to be so multi-purpose .
