    Size of nuts to hold on series door tops???

    Does anyone know off the top of their head what size the nuts are for the retaining bolts on series door tops??

    7/16"UNF - OR 7/16" BSF I think they changed about the start of 2a - but my 1970 2a came, when I got it, with one of each! And it is quite possible that a replacement has been welded on of some other size at some time in the past - I know that was the case with my Series 2 forty years ago.

    Since the door tops are interchangeable from 1958 S2 to current military Defender, there is no guarantee that what you have now came with the vehicle.

    I had this problem years ago.
    Fixed it by welding galv bolts in replacement!!!!

    series window nuts

    I have a few nuts I found here that I am pretty sure are from those window tops.
