Fender - Hand throttles and footwells

I think because of the potentiometer bizzo, this may be a problem. Unless it was somehow attached to the pedal shaft.

I circumvented the issue with a very high tech, patent pending, length of 19x19 pine, suitably dressed of course. Of the correct length, with a groove in one end to mate with the pedal shaft whilst the other end pushes up against the firewall/panelling. Rev range available from 2000 to bejesus :eek::twisted:

I would attach a photo, but, as I said ... it's all very hush hush due to the patent attorney's requirements ... :p

As for floor vents, they're also very good at stirring up all the dust under your feet :cool:

You connect the choke cable to the end of the throttle cable and job done. Same as putting a brick on the pedal :D
You pull the cable out and it pulls the throttle lever over.

Im assuming its an early V8 manual choke cable... what year model, or can i be a real slug part number am I chasing???

After all Land Rover just used the same sort of thing that was in most cars in the 80's. Sort of thing you can find down Supercheap
Just needs to be a cable with the end so you can pull and twist it to stay out .

Pretty good, unless you have a TD5. No throttle cable, all fly by wire.

It "can" be done with a TD5, but no installer is supposed to officially tell you how.

Involves cruise control, or one brand of anyway.

Another thought i was contemplating was a marine vent with the rotating seal inside. Face the vent scoops backwards for suction or forward for ram air (experiment for best effect) then can dial it shut when need be... also they come in stainless for that little bit of bling!

I have seen a few fitted to series door bottoms - but that is just a single sheet of aluminium, so really won't help you much if you want to fit it to the footwell - i.e. yours needs to go through firewall and guards.

Thanks muchly on the choke cable info... will sort that one out easilt now. much appreciated.

Onto the footwells, to be honest I havent even pulled the covers back to see what is necessary, Ill be a doing that when cleaning up, rustgaurding and spraying both footwells, will let you know what I come up with?

Why not run the choke cable down to the throttle pedal to pull it down, thats how I did mine on my V8 110. I didn't use a choke cable though, I used a motor mower throttle one instead :p
