Defender heater blower
Hey gentlemen (and Numpty's missus) I have a 2003 Def. 90, and discovered that the heater blower was not working. I checked the fuse that is for the blower and the cigarette lighter (the handbook calls it Cigar lighter--very fanciful) and sure enough the fuse was blown. I replaced the fuse which blew again. I removed the cigarette lighter and replaced the fuse for the second time, still didn't work, and then at some stage blower started working again, and still is, with everything back in place. Of course Land Rover's Law says that next weekend when I am camping at Rover Park and it is a few degrees colder than it is here on the Gold Coast, the blower will stop working again. What is your experiences with these things? If it was just a poor contact on the switch it wouldn't blow fuses would it? Anybody had similar experiences?
Er, and it has not been under water yet either.
cheers, robg
