    Disco brake problems

My disco has no brake lights, and i had a bit of a look at the switch and manually triggered the switch with my finger. My question is, are these things hard to change ? It's in a '98 Disco SE7. Are they a common problem with these ?

Oh, and another thing strange, the ABS light has come on and stays on the dash. The braking doesn't seem to be compromised, but it's constantly on. Any ideas ?

The switch is easy to change.........

and hopefully it's the faulty switch that is causing the abs light to come on.

If you need detailed instructions on how to change the switch let me know.

On the D1, just push it in and turn slightly , it will then be able to b pulled out of the bracket. Definately the cause of your ABS fault, as the ABS compatible switch has two stages, one for the lamps and one to tell the ABS ECU that the brakes are being applied.
