    Discovery Bullbar

    Hi Guys,
This is my first post so I am not sure if I am in the right forum.
I have just purchased a 1999 TD5 Discovery & I was wondering if any body knows if a bull bar off a 1990 Range Rover Vogue will fit & if not what will, besides genuine Discovery bull bars.
Having got that out of the way, I would like your opinions on my vehicle as I had to purchase it before I could do much research.
I think I made the right decision but, some honest opinions from people who already own a Discovery would help allay my doubts, or not.
    Thanks in advance.

From what I understand, I do not think the bullbar will fit on the Disco.

Great vehicle. There are a few chaps who know a great deal about your particular type of vehicle and they will all try to assist where they can.

If you were wondering what extra bits are involved in airbag bulllbars, a pic of a D2 chassis section from the Markets section ( Accessories - D2 recovery points by ladas) may help

    http://www.aulro.com/apc/showproduct...duct=944&cat=6

In the third pic, you see the recovery hook fixed to the front of the chassis rails just like most other D1,Rangie stuff. You can also see the aluminium box also attached to the chassis rail ( It has a R on it ). You should already have these on your D2 - and they are where the newer bull bars bolt onto, not the chassis rails (as such). D2's, having airbags as standard, required those crush cans - find a bullbar that has those fittings and you are set.
