    Warning Lights

I'm occasional getting 3 warning lights come on usually first break at the intersection on first start up. ABS, Traction Control and Hand break lights all together. You also feel the break pedal do a quick ABS action sort of at the same time.
After turning the ignition off and back on again it clears and there is no real problem and might not happen again for days.
I'm guessing that my break discs and pads need a change and this is the real fault. Last inspection 2 months ago on tyre rotation the discs looked worn and it has been around 25,000km or more on this set.
Is there something else that might be contributing to this or am I on the right track ?
    Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I think your on the right track...

But if after checking your pads and rotors for tolerance/runout/play everything comes within tolerance Eyeball the sensors (you may need to remove the rotors to do this) and make sure that they are clean of any debri and are tight in their mounts.

After this if all is good check the wiring. Before you put it all back together clean the rotors with a good brake cleaner and give the pads a good sanding with some fine wet and dry to remove any surface glazing, a little chamfer sanded into the leading edge will help.

as your assembling make sure thers isnt excessive play in the caliper pins and that they move freely with out any slop or jerking and before installing the pads give the back of them a coat with some antisqueel compound.

Best of luck and as its brakes If you aint sure dont do it.

What's the probability of a wheel speed sensor fault?

pretty low, if it was actually faulty it would make the light come on and stay on... if it resets on power up its generally a wiring fault or a vibration making the sensor read spiriously
