whoa, did you pull the floor out, including the panel above the transmission brake ?
All you need to do with the levers is pop the spring clips off the diff lock shafts to get to that nut. Don't have to undo any bolts or nuts from memory.
Have done this in the last three weeks as had a clutch fork break, so did the clutch plus all new seals throughout.
A couple of tips, when re-installing the t/case, get a couple of long 10mm bolts (170mm+) and chop the hex heads off and cut a slot in each. Use these as locating pins on reassembly so that you don't stuff the (new ;) ) input shaft seal. (also replace the intermediate shaft O ring)
You will also have to make a tool to remove the seal collar off the gearbox output shaft (this collar is a press fit onto the gearbox output shaft. The extension housing seal and the t/case input shaft seal run on this collar)
