I think they are the same.
Guys,
need your help
Can any one tell me if a disco transfer case conected to and auto is the same as the transfer case connected to the 5 speed manual?
are the two interchnageable??
both are from a 95 disco series 1, i know the manual is a lt230t , is the auto the same
thansk
I think they are the same.
AFAIK so long as the name, lt230, lt230q etc is the same the major parts are interchangable but little accessory things like the linkages and speedo drive securing tabs will be different...
If your going from one case to another keep them both untill you have the replacement up and finished.

If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
In my research, I was led to believe that the length of the input or output shaft (can't remember which) were different between the autos and manuals. ( the Auto was shorter) and would need to be swapped over which isn't a big deal but a pain in the proverbial. Can't wait till you get it back on the road.
Nice looking car by the way.![]()
hell yes me too![]()
