    My D2 was still in transit mode for a while when I bought it. It took me a while to figure out why the interior lights mis-behaved, but soon fixed it.

    ah, it's called having a missus who insists on dual airbags (I know these were available on some later D1, but obviously easier to find on D2), and I must admit I prefer the comfort and smoothness of my D2 over my 200Tdi - however, the latter would be my vehicle of choice for the Simpson or the Cape...
