    door keeps jamming

Hey guys, wondering if anyone else has had a problem with their disco 1 doors becoming sticky. The latching and opening mechanism on the passenger front door has started to not open the door each tme its tried, the door needs to then have a bit of a shove before it opens.
So this arvo I pulled of the door trim, adjusted one of the linkages tested it a few times, worked great, put all the trim back on, shut the door, and now I cant open it at all!!!
Any suggestions for this annoying problem?

    Cheers

in mine the plastic clips that hold the rods had cracked and the rods were slopping about preventing the handle from having enough movement to make the door lock unlatch past the second stop.

After a bad day a little bit too much of the heave ho saw the handle come away in my hand....

3 hours worth of milling+grinding and a trip to the wreckers saw me having a solid steel handle instead of cast ally and metal clips in place of the plastic on the linkages, SFAIK its still working, The bloke who owns it tennants my house in townsville and hasnt complained yet.

I had a similar problem. A linkage adjustment has fixed it (so far!).

    Same here, what cazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz said
my mate in sydney had the same prob with his d2, dealers couldn;t fix it, he fiddled with it himself.
showed me what the cause was, I went a bit hard, went for 5 turns, opens so easily now.

Yeah thats what i did, i adjusted the linkage about 5 turns on the rod going down from the external handle, worked fine for a couple of go's, and now it wont open at all!!

Its very hard to get the trim off and undo the bolts holding the external door handle when you cant even open the door! Im gettin very frustrated with it. What are some possible reasons the door wont open at all now?? Maybe i adjusted it too much?

    mate,
i don;'t know if gq was getting back to me or to you, hmm he didn't ring me, must be you, he had a similar problem with his door and has left the trim off.
As a suggestion maybe the plastic thing the rod screws into has come adrift, ahhh just though, you know how that top clip goes onto the rod maybe the securing bit has come off, ( the bit that holds it on securely)

i thought 5 turns was too much as my mate only did two on his and it was opening intermittently like mine/. but I have had not probs with it.

GQ managed to get his trim off with the door closed I think.
