    110 Noise on highway...

    hi,
Just taken to 110 out for a drive today. I have noticed this noise, slight vibration before. Seems to be a low harmonic drone from about 90 -110.There is a slight vibration i can feel thru the seat and floor. Just cant seem to nail down where it is coming from, sounds like from the back, then again might be from the box.took the truck into MR this week too and seems the layshaft is a bit suss in 1,2,3..ok in 4th at city speeds. Would the layshaft cause this at highway speed. How about wheel bearings?

    cheers

front uni.... i have a rumble as well and thats where i think mine is coming from..

speeds match mine exactly and i am dam sure thats what mine is but there are times you would swear it is coming from the rear of the truck..

be going to mr next week if i can get time for a second opinion and to pick up a couple of parts.

Guess your rear output shaft for the transfer has been checked? That's what caused it on mine. Same speeds also.
