Well the seller informs me that the mags 31x10.5 R15LT 6 ply rating Kumho Venture A/T are currently on a 84 ranger rover.....will they fit a 99 disco given the caliper and stud pattern?
No. They're a different stud pattern
Well as I understand it - and I may well be wrong - tyres are not my bag - but the measurement of a tyre is to the wall - surface - bit that is there after the tread is gone..........
The large nobbly tyres - with say 12 mm of tread - would add 24mm (about an Inch) to the rolling dia -
I (especially after the last trip to Tolangy) don't do hard - off road stuff, just stick to the basics. ...........and I have been in positions where I only need a bit of traction - not too bothered with clearance
As above - tyre dimensions are INCLUDING TREAD.
Tyre dimensions are a funny thing - it is better to go by the tyre and wheel standards manual than what the sidewall says.
Most tyres are smaller in diameter than specified on the sidewall, except for the british tyre sizes. E.g. a 7.50x16 is usually 32", a 9.00x16 is usually 35-36" diameter.
