First of all, what pads are in there? Have you tried giving them a good thump (somewhere away from traffic obviously) a fast 80km/h to 0 a couple of times can wear some of the glazing off, just for starters. failing that, you can remove the pads and run the surface of them along a flat sheet of emery, this will remove glazing as well. If the discs are badly glazed then a skim is in order, and re-fitting the pads with "disc brake quiet" between them and the piston usually helps.

As for what pads to use if you decide to replace them, the bendix standard pads are quite good (I would avoid the special four wheel drive ones, as they are very hard and usually lead to more squealing, especially if you are mostly on road). No pads will last a great deal of time off-road, so it's not worth the extra expense. The genuine pads are quite alright as well, but again, expensive...

    Just my 2 cents...

I got mine off a bloke at can it say it, in wodonga, a brake place that advertised on ebay, good to deal with and very helpful on the phone, got front and rear pads, they have been good, and aren;t too hard or too soft. and are wearing really well. ( ie negligible wear) can't remeber the brand , but they had a green colour on the box.

i know I haven;t said anything of use, but there was an ebay listing for l/r pads the other day that i saw. Don't know who the seller was.
