Well it goes downy not uppy.

If there was a height sensor problem and it made the corner go down then the self leveller would even it up (or rather, down) and so it would go until it settled on the bump stops !

How can this be checked ? Does the diagnostic computer that the service places have interrogate the sensors to see if they are working properly ????

(It DID hold its height overnight by the way so airbag / line to airbags apparently not at fault).

    valves..

Is the pump the same as the disco 2?
Mine had the cap that reatains a valve pop off as mud had got under a tab that retained it. Cleaned it up, good a new.

No idea if its the same. I suppose I shall have to open the box and see whats to be seen.

    HOWEVER

Further diagnosis (well, leaving it overnight again) reveals that there must be some sort of leak somewhere as the FRONT END ONLY had settled onto the bump stops but the back was still at correct height.

Remember I have an airbag man kit in and the electronic part of the system was locked out "ie valve block etc) with air directly pumped into the air springs through a bypass line.

I would conclude, therefore, that there must be a leak in the front somewhere. Does that seem resonable ?

Does the 'self levelling' thingy still work when the system is locked out ? I would have thought that the self levelling doovalacky would be dopne through the valvle block.

If, therefore the self levelling thingy is not in action I just need to know WHERE a leak might have occured that would allow BOTH front air springs to lose pressure.

    Anyone ? Please ?!

It kind of depends on how the emergency kit is set up.

I doubt very much if any of the height sensors or self levelling functions have had anything to do with the drop since, as you said, they are locked out.

Does the emergency kit have have a direct line to each corner or is there a splitter which splits between both front or both back airbags. (ie, are there 4 valves or 2 valves when inflating through the emergency kit ?)

If 2, then that would explain why both fronts went down.

If 4 then maybe both are leaking.
