annoying isn't it.
my LH tail light continually blows. i gave up on replacing them.
The 10A fuse that does the instrument panel lights and the RH tail lights keeps blowing ( SI Disco )
Its in the fuse panel under the steering wheel ( F8 I think ). it was happening a couple of years ago and stooped and now started again - blows every couple of weeks.
I have checked all the obvious things but it must be a short in the loom somewhere so was wondering if this is a common problem ?
oh and i haven't I haven't had a trailer on recently.

This is not a big enough problem to pull the car apart but is a hassle.
mns you have a problem with the bulbs blowing by the sound of it - my problem is the fuse blowing.
My Mum's Magna had a problem with a blowing fuse for the tail lights. Turned out a piece of metal in the licence plate lamp had come adrift and was shorting when she went over bumps etc.
Check the tail light fittings in the rear quarter panels. They are exposed metal and something might be shorting them. I hope your Disco is a 5 seater
I just changed my dash light fuse as I shorted the glove box light fitting to earth. So that is the same circuit as well.
G'day,
My (limited) experience has shown that blown bulbs can be solved buy providing good earths and connections (especially on disco’s rear bumper bars). Poor connections not only create resistive joints but also (when wet) other paths for voltage to earth, thus blowing a fuse.
