i should of put in its the rear wheel bearing, are these the same.i have read the thread about the turning hubs and have put it on my gunnado list
same hub seal front and rear.
The RTC3511 seal is a spring energised, double lipped seal, suitable for oil lubed hubs and works fine if you only use grease, too, as it keeps water out which can't be said for any other Landy seals.
thanks people.i will look in darwin for this seal.also noticed the the plate the seal rons on has gone all pitted so will have to find one of them also, probably what caused the problem in the first place
use a Speedi-Sleeve to fix the seal surface problem. Should be available from any bearing service.
Probably easiest to get the seal freighted to you from Sydney/Brissy/Perth/Adelaide or Big Jon in the Alice (Sutton Motors)
thanks for that. sounds cheaper too.can you get them for steering box shaft as well
got a genuine one lipped seal to use in the mean time (have to get to work next week) this seal has printed on it this "side to face stub axle"as you say looks ar#e about to me.
