I have fitted the dba slotted and dimpled rotors and their pads no problems hopefully they will last longer than the ome ones
I need new pads and rotors on the D2, should I go for genuine, or other??? I am getting the work done at LR automotive in Brisvegas on Friday (travelling from Bundy) but unsure which way to go... they recommend non genuine but a brand which I haven't heard of and can't remember, my other option is DBA. Any suggestions please???

Just a quick one, what pads did you use, as I have heard that the squeeling and dust can play up with the ABS Sensors???? And how long have you been running them
Doc
the other brand they may be using could be RDA......
if you use new rotors and pads......you shouldnt have squealing......
do not get as much dust with these pads and yes there can be problems with the sensors but why some have problems and others have no problems is a strange one may be that there are problems in the sensors??

its the frequency of the brake squeal that sets off the sensors.........
if you run softer pads....you will have more brake dust on your rims......but your rotors will last longer......
check your hip pocket and do the maths.......you will find that its easier and cheaper to replace just the pads more often......
G'day - I've been through a few different pads looking for one that didn't squeal. The ones I'm using now are EBC Greenstuff - more expensive than others, but no squeal - and they are supposed to last a lot longer. I'm happy.
I just use any old rotors, they are pretty cheap anyway so I dont mind replacing them a bit more often. I also launch my boat with the D2, so it pays to change the rotors once a year I think.
Cheers,
I would go DBA. I ran DBA Gold cross drilled and slotted rotors with Bendix 4x4 pads on my Rangie. Still going strong.

I run RDA rotors with EBC greenstuff pads on the Disco and a mate runs DBA rotor's and bendix pads on his and there's not alot in it.On my defender the original pads were the best and bendix were to hard.I'd agree with the soft pad advice, easier and cheaper with better brake feel. Pat
