Dopey Qstn 2 - Disco rear door speaker wiring

Does anyone know whether the base model 95 Tdi has wiring in the read door, like the upmarket models, for the subwoofer speakers?
I'm thinking of putting in some decent size speaker to supplement the existing ones in the rear pillars and I was hoping the wiring was in place and all I'd have to do is hook into the wiring loom.
I've checked the rave cd but have to admit I struggled trying to work out what connector was what.

    cheers

    I don't think you'll be in luck.
The Discos that had the subwoofer also had the UK fitted stereo (Phillips) whereas the other models had the local fitment Eurovox units.

    **Edit:
Looking at the parts listing, there's different harnesses depending on spec. so you'll be running extra wires by the looks of it.

My 97 SE V8 doesn't have the extra wiring for a rear door subwoofer. I got rid of the rubbish factory 4" speakers and put some good quality ones in.
    Big improvement for the $$.
I replaced one of the storage bins with a 10" subwoofer too.

Well that settles that then, new wiring it is.
    Thanks for the replies.

njz, did you put another set of 4" in? And they sounded pretty good did they. If so I'll slot some in the front and maybe do a bit of cutting in the rear.

The factory D1 speakers were really very poor. Years ago I put 4" focal in the front and 4" alpine in the back. For a simple no cutting job they sounded much better. A couple of months later I put in an amp and sub to round out the system.

I've heard you can put bigger speakers in the back if you don't mind doing some trimming
