Hi all
Ive got all my parts order for my suspension set up except shocks and bump stops
I'm going with Bilstein shocks after a lot of thought,
I have two option with of the shelf bilstein shock made for the disco 2 with 2 inch lift which are $460 a pair
Option one is to use these shocks as is and lower the shock mounts by buying front Shock Turrets-2 inch Lowered and 2 inch Lowered rear top shock mount
and
Option two have the guys mod the bilsteins for a 4 inch lift that will cost me $200 a pair
what to do
funny enough having the shocks modified is the cheaper option but what to do

Why, there are no pin mounts in the D2
Cheers

Have you sourced these as I am thinking of doing something similar to my front and keeping my Bilsteins on the front. Running Pedders on the rear (along with 40mm raised king springs - retained) which have about 650mm travel from memory so rear is fine (although Pedders do not handle well and mean I run my polyairs slightly harder thaan needed, to try and gain more control on road - will fix later)
Keen to hear wht you end up doing as I will be changing my set up again soon........never ends does it![]()
are all eye diameters the same ????? is there a standard
I bet not
Your right, they differ from shock to shock, but you can easily get the right diametre bush made up - 14mm hole is what you are after i believe although somone may correct me.
Keep me posted as you go but to add confusion, have you thought about chopping down the front shock tower?
