Just a wild guess, but I reckon he means combined range, with the existing fuel tank

I don't think anyone is getting 6.66L/100 from a defender

The easiest option is to put a 45lt under-arch tank in the rear.
It fills via the original filler cap and is simply an extension of the existing main tank.
I have three fuel tanks in my 130 giving the 4.6Efi a pretty decent range. But fitting the wiring, solenoids, extra fuel pumps etc was a pain to install from scratch.
The front under-seat tank is a 50lt one from a Series III Lightweight. I had to install an extra outrigger to help hang it. It's filled by removing the seat base. I can't see how you could have an external filler for a front tank on a crew cab!

I looked at the ARB Long Ranger tanks and didn't like the increased over hang at the back. I'm sure there are other brands in the market but ARB is all we have access to here.
