rear door rattle 98 disco 1

    HI
I have searched this but only came up with a few defender threads. My problem is that the rear door latch assembly on the disco 1 has started to rattle when driving, and 'bouncing' when closing it. It seems to me that the 'claw' that engages the striker pin has worn...(probably not the right terms but hopefully you get the idea)
Is there an easy adjustment for this (ie pin or claw)-my manual dosnt give any clues. And yes I do have the spare on the back door. It doesnt do it if the spare is not on the door.

    thanks

Had same problem with mine a few years back, try tightening the actual striker/keeper on the car itself, as mine was loose.

The pin on the back of the car is adjustable. Loosen it off and move it in a bit.
Check the rubber seal too. Mine was squashed flat so the door was moving around.
