yeah, the difference is not something to be sneezed at.
i have to say i didn't expect the difference i have noticed. had i expected this sort of difference i would have done some sort of comparison test as it is a very measurable difference in behavior.
next time i am pointed downhill at a big angle in low low i expect to feel a difference as well i think... for that sort of plus i would expect to find a minus in that area, hope i am wrong tho :P
i found an extra bonus on the way home...
mine has had a vibrating rattly noise when revved hard, must have been a baffle because it has vanished so i am twice as impressed with the results...

Properly papered results, would be better. not street guesstimates
I know there are you mechanicy types out there, but have been there a done than( not on a l/r diesel), take out the resonator, but some straight pipe in, up the pipe diameter for more flow the list goes, on. The improvements none, the wallet lighter and that was it.
I figure the engineeers of engines do have some sort of formula they work on, so why change it.
Suburbanites with free flowing exhausts. can someone give me a justification for a change, on something that 90% of the time would be used as a daily driver. Which escape on the green light, accelerate through a roundabout?
Your talking about a diesel, one that I have found , when properly tuned, fine on take off and drving.
thats my take on it.
john
and even smoother after it i have to say.
having just come from an auto back to a manual i can say i wouldnt bother doing it on an auto as the effect seems to be very similar in nature to how the auto already behaves to some degree, ie allowing the motor to get some revs quicker...
and yes the evidence is anecdotal but after driving thru 1/2hr of heavy traffic this morning on the way to MR i am more impressed.... way smoother than my last drive thru traffic and well worth the 40 bucks invested imho.

... and of course that has added one more to your count and this has added one more to mine.
I think there are situations where spelling is very important but this is not one of them. I agree that the most important thing in this case is that the message is clear.
Normally I wouldn't be so presumptuous as to correct someone else's spelling in a situation like this. It's just that I thought it was amusing that your post attracted the comment "well put" and my attempt to draw attention to the ambiguity of that comment would not have worked without pointing out the trivial typos and minor mistakes in your post.
It was intended to be a joke about the "well put" comment, not a dig at you.
I'm sorry you were not amused.
However, it has just occurred to me that you might not have been offended but were just having a gentle dig at me.
So in that case I apologise if I have taken something seriously that was intended as a lighthearted comment.
