caltex delo 400 and genuine filters are a nice mix if you are running on a 5000klm service schedule.

if you run fancier oils you can extend the service schedule..

but it all come back to cost / benefit and i find the mineral oil and genuine filters @ 5000 gives me value for money.

Got to agree with Inc, I used to use Penrite HPR15 but at the price it was starting to add up so I now use Shell Helix Diesel and genuine filters and change every 5K about $60 a change

Penrite is a good oil but expensive compared to some of the others, and some of the other brand names arent lower quality oils. I use Dello 400 or Caltex Semi Synthetic (what caltex actually recommends) but have been having trouble getting it as the local caltex distributor closed the bathurst branch and is operating out of its orange branch only so i have been using Valvoline Diesel which is good value at about $80 for 20L. and i use the ryco or coopers filters depending on where i get them. matt

Valvoline at the moment and Baldwin filters.

Changing to Peak next service as I use it at work and I just got the specs on it and found that the one I use at work is made by ELF and exceeds the Valvolines standards and is half the price.

Baldwin filters make a huge range of filters for heaps of different brands and they are huge in the states and Ive been using them for years on all my cars and machines and never had a problem.

We use genuine filters (ERR3340) and Castrol Magnatec oil (Proffesional 10w-30 from memory).
