selling a jac mac toy conversion, what should i ask?
Later in the year after the nissan trials, I'm going to be replacing my diffs in my comp 110 buggy. Their specks are
Rangie housings shaved for high clearance
Toyota 8" centers, 100 series high pinion front (4.3) new bearings.
Hilux diesel/hiace low pinion rear center (4.3) also with new bearings.
Jac Mac chrome molly axles front and rear.
Tightened Hilux LSD centers (not lockers)
Haultech re-inforced heat treated CVs (can be replaced directly with 27 spline Longfields)
Housings have been strengthened to protect diff pumpkin and a 6mm track rod protetor plate.
Reco rangie callipers (single brake line ones)
Has been modified to run Full hydraulic steering (forklift style but does not come with orbital valve), hydro assist steering, or normal power steering, with strengthened arms. They will come with the suitable hydraulic ram and hoses.
Rear housing is currently running a triangulated 4 link, and front is a 3 link and panhard with airshocks, but i will convert back to standard landrover A frame rear and standard front if its needed.
So these will pretty much bolt straight into a disco, rangie or county.
These diffs have been used lots, origionally built by Haultech engineering, but they have been looked after with serviceing, oil and bearings.
What should i be asking? I dont want to be looking at them for ever like these dana 60s i keep tripping over. I have no idea of what their worth, as they came with the car.
THIS IS NOT AN EOI, OR A FOR SALE. however if the moderators feel this is in the wrong section please move it.
