    Question Knowledge and help

    Have a 01 TD5 Disco which has ben great. Wrote in awhile ago re the horn not working occaisionally. Advise was the slip rings on the steering wheel. Question is now how do I get to them,not blo the airbag , and fix the problem.
    Also I'm after a set of pubs for my machine so I don't have to keep asking for help.Bought a Haines book but it stops at the 99 model or there abouts. Has been of some help but there are too many differences.

    I'm pretty sure the slip rings are only used on the non-airbag cars, i.e. the D1, etc. without cruise control (my daughter's has one).

    Airbag equipped models use a coil spring-like device - commonly called the rotary coupler by LR (sometimes called the spiral cassette by others).
