Smile Centre diff lock deactivates trc?

I was told (by someone who probably knows) that when you activate the centre diff lock in my 2001 extreme, the trc is disengaged.
Does anybody know if this is right?
If it is, it seems to detract from the effectiveness of trc off road and makes diff lockers, which always looked good, a far better option.
    Cheers

No, TC is not disabled with CDL in the Defender.

Activating the CDL in an early Series II Discovery can cause problems with TC but the Defender system works with CDL engaged or not.

Yep, I agree...my trc isn't working at the moment, needs a new sensor, and I'm spinning wheels in beach sand,....which doesn't happen when the trc is working, diff lock on or off.

My D2 if started with the CDL in has tc disabled..But if the engine is running when you engage the CDL the TC functions as normal.

I'll try that once my trc is up and running, I'm told I need a new front sensor at $750-.....Regarding yours, do you know if that is how it is supposed to operate and how did you work out that was going on?
