Thanks for the responses. I am getting around 12L/100 on a mixture of driving with the (less than) aero dynamic canopy on the 130.
Cheers

In my RRC the speedo has a different calibration to the odometer.
With my 245.75x16 tyres the speedo is dead accurate, but the ODO is 6% out, and the reverse with 205x16 tyres. The speedo is 6% fast and the ODO is accurate.
(Checked with GPS for speed and 0 to 5 Kms on at least 2 highways)
Land Rover obviously play it safe to meet ADRs which state that a speedo must have accuracy within +10% and zero.(not -10% as many seem to believe as they hopefully try to get out of tickets)

Well I must have a lead foot!! around town 12L best and the work has been a tad over 20L.That was sitting on 120k, loaded roof rack, camer trailer and 245x75x16 mud tyres.
Do I get a prize?![]()
I do 130km a day, about 85% of which is driving at 90-95km/hr on semi rural roads. No more than 3 or 4 lights. I think thats the main reason I get such good economy. The fact the the engine was recon'd about 80k ago doesnt make much effect I think since it's still running the original injectors (350k now). I've also tweeked the fuel pump for better mid-range torque. I'm surprised others are not reporting similiar figures since 7.2 is pretty close to what LR say in the handbook. I've also checked my speedo with GPS and it reads about 4-5km high at 100km however the trip meter is spot on.
