Thread: Good TD5 Words

Hi,
I am not sure whether this is the right forum on the site for this but I have some good words on TD5.

I just did a run to Perth and back in 4 days in the MY 2003 TD5 auto and it is the first big run it has had since having the TombRaider ECU remap, Vortex muffler replaced origional centre muffler and EGR removed.

It never missed a beat in 3,400 klms in the 4 days. It now overtakes roadtrains still in 4th gear where as before it used to change down to 3rd. It changes gears smoother, runs like a dream and averaged 10.4 litres per 100 klms on the way down all loaded up and 11 litres 100klms on the way back towing a boat. Sat on 115 klms on the highway.

The power, smoothness and great fuel consumption considering I am getting 30% plus more power out of the motor is just a dream to drive and it never missed a beat.

One very, very happy Disco driver. Oh and I gave a few drivers in Perth a surprise at the traffic lights.

Me to here in Brisbane..

Did 6000km to the tip and back never skipped a beat. Av 11.5 lph..Best oil burner ever..
