    What sort of differentail?

    Hey all Just wondering if anyone can identifi this diff for me its in my S2a landrover.The only numbers i can find on it are "E8".

    Nah, the leaks are standard

    silly me, I should have recognised the Rover in-built rust preventive device.

    Also works on any vehicle that follows too closely behind .

    They didn't on Series 2a. Salisbury axle became available as an option on 109s from suffix G I think, but was never standard except on the late One Ton (early had ENV) and on the S2b 110. It became standard on all Series 3 109s. But a lot of Series 2as have been retrofitted with salisbury rear axles even early in their life after they became readily available after the S3 was on the market.

    And NEVER fitted to an 88"
    They are tough Googe,actually a Dana design,obviously the previous owner got sick of snapping rover axles!!!
